2024 NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) Korean Language Excellence Awards Ceremony

On Friday, 14 February 2025, the Korean Education Center (KEC) in Sydney and the New South Wales Korean Language Teachers Association held the "2024 NSW Higher School Certificate (HSC) Korean Language Excellence Awards Ceremony" at the KEC. Approximately 40 people attended, including award recipients, parents, and teachers, participated in the event.

 

The HSC Korean language subjects were first introduced in 1992 and currently offers four courses: two for Korean-speaking students (Korean in Context, Korean and Literature) and two for non-Korean-speaking students (Korean Beginners, Korean Continuers).

 

At the ceremony, a total of 13 students who ranked 1st to 3rd in each course  received certificates and prizes jointly issued by the KEC and KOLTA NSW. After the awards presentation, the recipients shared their acceptance speeches in both Korean and English.
