On December 10, the 2024 Australia-Korea Online Teaching Exchange Presentation Conference was successfully held, showcasing various online teaching exchange cases that highlighted the potential for educational collaboration and cultural exchange between Korea and Australia.
The Grand Prize was awarded to Younghee Cho from Collingwood College. Cho's presentation, titled "From Melbourne to Korea – connecting classrooms, exploring culture, and growing together!", shared practical examples of how online classrooms can deepen cultural understanding and facilitate growth for students in both countries. Her work received high praise from the judges.
Other presenters, including Esther Eun, James Na, Erica Hur, Qeefaa An, and Sidney Park, shared creative and innovative strategies for strengthening student engagement and fostering cultural connections through online teaching. Their detailed case studies inspired many attendees.
This conference aimed to promote the dissemination of effective online teaching models, strengthen collaboration among educators, and enhance students' global communication skills. Director Jiyoung Kwon of the Sydney Korean Education Centre expressed her hopes, stating, "We expect this conference to further invigorate educational cooperation and cultural exchange between Korea and Australia."
