2026 Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) for Graduate Degrees

Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) is designed to provide international students with opportunities to study at higher educational institutions in Korea in pursuit of academic degrees, which will enhance international education exchange and deepen mutual friendship between Korea and participating countries.

※ As the Korean Government Scholarship Programs were integrated and branded as the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) in 2010, the program is officially referred to as GKS.

1. Total Number of Grantees: 4 students

2. Scholarship Programs & Duration

o Master’s Degree program: 3 years
- 1 year of Korean language program
- 2 years of degree program

o Doctoral Degree Program: 4 years
- 1 year of Korean language program
- 3 years of regular degree program

o Research Program: 6 months or 1 year

3. Scholarship Benefits

- Tuition fees
- Korean language training fees
- Round-trip airfare
- Monthly allowance

4. Application Period (AEDT)

13:00 Thursday, 12 February – 20:00 Wednesday, 25 February 2026

※ Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

5. Application Method

Applicants must submit their applications online via the Study in Korea website in accordance with the Embassy Track application procedure.
